Good Evening everyone, This is Alice's daughter again. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am just sitting here in this lovely recliner beside mom. She went this morning for her "leak test" and everything went well with that so they have discontinued everything except for a portable ECG machine. She has been taking sips of water and has had 60cc of Boost and she is tolerating it pretty good so far, a couple of little episodes of nausea but nothing that some deep breathing and a cool rag on her forehead didn't control, so that's good, she has not thrown up yet, Thank the Lord.  We have been walking and walking and walking today, one time I know that we atleast did 3 or 4 laps around the entire nurses station. But the kicker has been these gas pains, they have been almost unbearable and has had her in tears a little bit cause it hurts so bad, she has been getting her pain meds every 4 hrs like she is suppose to since they took her Morphine pump earlier. She has taken a couple of those Gas-X strips but I don't think that they have helped, so if anyone has ANY suggestions, we will be more than happy to hear them, thanks.  Other than the extreme gas pains and left upper quadrant pains which are expected of course, she has been doing well. We appreciate all of her thoughts and prayers, they really mean a lot.  Please continue to pray for her and a speed recovery, and especially for these gas pains to go away.  Thanks and God Bless Marenda

Hi Marenda, Thanks for the update on Mom.  So sorry to hear about the gas pains.  Sounds as though you are doing all the right things, particularly with the walking.  It will get better.  For me the best thing to "erase" the pain was to walk it off.  I think she will find a big improvement tomorrow.  Please give her a hug for me.

Marenda, Thanks for the updates!  Just keep her walking and sipping, that's the best thing for her now.  I'm sorry she's having gas pains, they can be terrible for sure!  Let her know we're thinking about her and I'm keeping her in my prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It gets better every day!

Thinking of Alice... I am so glad to hear she is doing well. I know those gas pains are awful. I tried the chewable gas x tabs and they worked well also. I hope it gets better for her.  I'll try to give her a call in a few days. I hope she is home resting tonight!!! Send her our love!
