Hee! Hee!
But on a serious note, you need a "real" living will before surgery so your wishes are legally on paper!
I had a will, living will, POA and Medical POA drawn up before surgery. My sis didn't want to talk about that stuff, even though she knew we had to... of course I didn't need 'em, yet, but it was something I had put on the back burner WAY too long... so now it's done and I don't have to worry about it anymore.
I did all of the paperwork before surgery--up dated my will, appointed a new decision maker, and signed my Living Will and Organ Donation permission. My sister and daughters did not want to discuss it so I left everything in a big envelope on the mantle in the den. I told them there it is in case you need it. Don't forget to make arrangements for your dependent children--just in case.
