Looking for a treadmill

That time has come again to add more to my workout. My dear friend Kelly is looking on freecycle for a treadmill for me but if anyone knows about one someone wants to get rid of please let me know. I may have to look into buying a new one but am more than willing to just because I know it is what my body needs and wants. BTW I have the workout addiction again it took a long time to get it back but I am happy to say I got it back. I have been a member of lots of fittness clubs but this time is a little different. I feel like I can moan and grunt at my home all I want and push myself farther than being embarrased with others around. I dont know what I would do without my MP3 player it helps me get up the hills and get through my 30 minutes on my bike. In fact I am counting the time till 10am when I walk my babies. Oh My I would have not said that this time last year. My goal for my bike next week is to go 40 minutes.                                                Annie

I wish I knew someone that had one. I would sure let you know. Have you checked any of the thrift shops in your area? I know that last weekend, a thrift shop here had a nordic track for 25 and a stair climber for 20 I think. I hope that I can get the workout bug soon. I had started walking before surgery and can't wait to get back into it. I have to get a better stroller tho. Those cheap 10 umbrella strolers arent very good on the back! Have you tried craigs lists? My mother in law says they have a long list of things for sale and for free and they have it listed in the areas , like by towns. I dont know I havent ever looked but you may find something there. Good luck.

Annie, try the craiglist for Raleigh/Durham area, and also the Greensboro area whi*****ludes areas down your way. I just pick up one this last Sat for 85.00 that is just as good as new. You will find them ranging from 75 to 800 with alot in the area of 200 that is gym quility. It's better than dropping awhole lot of money for a new one. Ken

I don't have a treadmill.. But I have a really nice Air Rower and an eliptical (sp) that are gathering dust.. (I can't excercise at home.. no room for these machines, and no chance with two kiddos around.. I have to go somewhere else to do it). I was planning on listing them on Craigs List.. but just haven't gotten 'round to it.  If you're interested (or know someone who is..)  lemme know.

Actually the eliptical trainer sound like a good thing in fact when I was a gym rat I noticed I burned more calories with the ET. Is it possible you could send me a picture of the ET? [email protected] the reason is I still have a balance issue at times and still feel the need to feel safe and hold on to bars or rails.                                                               Annie

I'll snap a pic and have hubby upload it tonight (his camera, his computer, I no touch!). It's a NordicTrack CX920.  Here is a picture I pulled from someone posting on craigslist (NOT MINE.. Mine is cleaner!): There are stationary handlebars that actuall have a pulse sensor in them.  So it's got something for when you are off-balance. I don't have the owner's manual.. but you can order one for $6.52 here: http://www.iconservice.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/CategoryDispla y?cgmenbr=52&cgrfnbr=287911 Like I said, I'll snap a picture this evening and send it to you.
