A WOW and a whine
I hadn't been paying much attention to my clothing. I had a meeting today, and I put on my favorite suit ... but I was swimming in it! My pants stayed up only by some miracle that would have been better spent on Mideast peace or getting Donald Trump a quality haircut.
So on my way home, I swung by a shop and picked up a new jacket and pants in a smaller size. But when I got home, I discovered they were too big. I'll have to take them back and exchange for something smaller. Awwwwww ... isn't that sad????
It'll be so nice to shop for clothing in fabrics and colors that I like. It's hard to find interesting clothes in super-plus sizes. Who doesn't love some fun in their wardrobe? Obviously not fat women. Grrrrrrr. (Hey, fashion designers, pay attention!)
So have I droned on and on enough yet about being so freakin' exhausted? Ha. I haven't ever felt so fatigued without being down for the count with some virus or other, but I'm managing to soldier on. Apparently it's a fibromyalgia flare-up, and my doc's on top of it and I'll be better in a few weeks.
The good news is that everything else checks out great -- my bloodwork's fine, blood pressure is normal (yea me! one more reading like that and it's no more hypertension meds!), and I get to find a massage therapist to get some of the muscle spasms taken care of.
That is great Kim....isn't it fun having clothes to big instead of wondering if our butts will fit into them? This way is much more preferable...as long as you don't lose your drawers in the middle of a meeting! I go to my PCP for my BP ck next week but don't expect much as i started smoking again.... gonna get nicotine patches and slap one on starting Saturday before i become a full blown smoker again.
Well at least you know what is making you so tired and hopefully, they can get that under control and you will feel better. I think my exhaustion is finally starting to improve by baby steps. I am right there with ya gal!
Glad to hear all your blood work has turned out good!
Take care, Pam
Congratulations! With all the diets I tried before we always shared goals we had - everyone else (at least the women) said they wanted to be able to wear cute tight pants. I always stated everything I had was tight so I wanted to feel something loose on me!!!
I go back to work part time on Monday and have my 1st pre op Monday afternoon. I have not gotten on the scales so I am excited to see if I have lost and how much.
I would take an additional week off, but I am a school secretary and of course the provide no sub for us, so payroll is due and that means me doing it!!! My principal is really good, though, and told me to work part time as long as needed. Mentally I am ok, and just a little sore physically.
I am so happy to be with all of you on the losing side!!

I remember going to the store to get new work clothes, and I kept trying on clothes because I kept picking out ones too large for me. A friend with me started picking out my clothes.. and I had gone from a 24 to an 18 and it was quite shocking. Nice, but shocking :-)
I know a massage therapist in Raleigh. She's a really nice girl and and pretty good at her job.
Let me know if you are interested in trying her out.
