Nectar NOT a good protein supplement?

I went and saw my dietitian for my intial appointment and she said that she had had a few patients who had been using nectar protein supplements, come up with deficiencies,....Has Anyone else heard this, because I loooove Nectar's Fuzzy Navel and Cappucino flavors.... I've been trying to decide which brand and flavors I'll invest money in because protein is not cheap,... Anywho, Has anyone else heard about this?

I've not seen it.. but what kind of protein is it? Is it whey?  Soy?  Casein?  There is a theory out there that the lower-quality proteins are not as good as whey protein isolate (with soy coming in 2nd).  But there isn't any proof to my knowledge.

I have a friend that uses these supplements religiously and her labs are fine.  I think it depends partially on what else you are doing.  The supplements are just that, supplements, your diet should also contain other sources of protein.  Just my two cents. Ellen
