Once Upon A Mattress
I just love you Mare ~ your title of this post had me ROFLMAO after I read the entire post!! You can aways make me smile and trust me, today I really needed that!!!
When I first moved up here to VA, I had to show my drivers license somewhere and at that time, I still had my NC license and didn't even think about how my pic looked on it. The woman just kept staring at me and then looking back at my license and dense as I was, it didn't even dawn on me what she was looking at. Then she said "is this really you?" and I realized that I really had changed a lot! It was a great WOW moment. And yes, I told her my story too because of course people are curious to know how we have lost so much weight.
Congrats on your WOW moment and I know that you and that insanely gorgeous hubby of yours will get much enjoyment from your new mattress!!!
Hugs,
Donna

Mare, You crack me up!!!
I was just thinking about my DL photo just the other day. It doesn't look at all like me now. I was thinking about going and have a new on taken. It cost only $10.00. in S.C. My DL is not renewable til 2015. It my be worth doing it.
What a great WOW moment. You are on the road to alot more in the coming months. Enjoy every minute of them.
Keep up the good work.
PS: George thinks you should be a writer or a (Powder Room prose).

Girl..... I know that felt good!!!!! When I was moving from San Diego back to NC (3 years after WLS) I was stopped by the highway patrol in both Arizona & Texas (now don't go thinking the worst!!! LOL). I handed over my license & registration, now both the Arizona & Texas officers stared at my license for a couple moments and asked me why I had this license. I told them about my WLS then had to "prove" the license was mine... I was VERY GLAD to have my WLS journey scrapbook with me in the front passenger seat and showed it to them. They couldn't believe it, the Arizona cop had his supervisor come over and check it out too... lol! Both times they just couldn't believe the confirmation, they told me to slow down and drive carefully... I said thanks, felt a bit thrilled and drove off into the sunset...lol!
Now just wait until you have to go to get a new license, be prepared to be asked about it. My NC license hadn't expired when I moved back but I needed to turn in my California license and thought I had to renew my NC one. Well they looked at the picture and the questions began... I was prepared this time and had my scrapbook right there. I asked them if I could get a replacement without a new picture, but they said "NO"... I said a whiney p l e a s e and he just looked at me and told me to get in line for my new picture... LOL!!!
I just love it when you have these cool WOW moments!!!!! Dont be surprised! I see a big change every time I see you!
(((Hugs!)))
