Can't get full
I think Barb told me the same thing, but it is your head. This is a tool that you have to use to help. Your tummy is full, but your head is still use to eating the same amounts as before. Listen to your pouch and not your head. You will fill the fullness in your pouch, you just have to pay close attention and listen, and stop when you fill this. I hope this helps, you are still adjusting. It will get better. How are you?? Other then this?
Love ya,
Nellie
It wasnt until almost 6 months out that I could really truly tell I was full/satisified from eating. On the liquid diet I felt nothing... on soft foods I could feel the food more and tell what was working and what wasnt - on normal foods I was either 'ok' or ate too much too quickly and had that horrible chest pressure. It will take time for all your nerves to heal and for your mind and body to figure out its new plumbing - you will notice that different foods will sit differently in your pouch and for certain amounts of time... its a learning process and will take time :-)
If you feel like you are starving I would chalk it up to head hunger - you have to sit back and ask yourself "is my body hungry or is it my mind"... are you just wanting to chew and taste some 'real food'. Most times if you think about it your body really isnt telling you it needs food... you are just wanting to eat.

Hello! I'm currently 9 weeks out and I was having the same problems. I was having a terrible time with tolerating proteins and so I wasn't staying satisfied and felt hungry often. Once I FINALLY found a protein I could tolerate, I've not been having the hunger. I usually get between 50-65 grams per day. Take a look at your protein and see if you could up the dose some. That might help if it isn't head hunger.

Hey!
I am about 3 1/2 weeks out and I am starting to feel like I can't get full..... I really agree with the comment about it being in our heads. I made chilli last night and I just felt like I should keep eating because I "wasn't full". I think it will get better in time you know it's hard going from one life style to a whole new one ;)
We just gotta hang in there lol
I have always felt full but in the beginning, i always measured out 1/2 cup and that is what i ate. I would notice if i even ate a bite or two too much, I had a lot of pressure and could get foamies if i ate to fast. I still can't eat bread but can eat the crust and rice doesn't agree with me. This is just fine as I don't really need those carbs anyway.
If you measure, you will know exactly how much your pouch should be able to take and learn what the full feeling is all about. I have had a few days when I have been stressed or upset where i have looked for food and had to stop as i realized that was head hunger.
Good luck,
Pam
