holy cow!!!! is this really happening??????
Melissa - Congrat's to you on finally making it this point, it's a long road to travel. I don't want to rain on your parade but just be ready for any ins. "surprises". Coming from someone who watched her surgery date come and go twice...waiting for ins. approval. It can be emotionally devastating! Best wishes on some smooth sailing!
thanks so much for all the info. the more i think and read about insurance, the more i believe i will not get approved. i havent had 5 straight years of a 40 or above BMI. i did just complete my sleep study so i dont know if i have apnea. that could help.
well , if i dont get approved, im going to take advantage of my 5 remaining free nut. appts and get my life on track and try to lose on my own ( again).
thanks again :)
Don't throw in the towel! Stay positive and believe it's going to happen. My BMI was not 40 or above for 5 consecutive years or even 35 or above for the 5 yrs and I was approved. Did they submit for approval without your sleep study results? Either way, if they found something during the study it will be more ammunition to get approved. Hang tight and stay positive...I didn't want to crash your party - I just wanted to shed some light....
Congratulations! Keep us updated on the insurance thing.
Mindy's right about the appointment. It was really short, but he answered all my questions. He mashed on my belly and I had some blood drawn. Short and sweet.
I wasn't too sure about Dr. Mac at first, but when I saw him the morning before surgery he was really nice and I was glad I picked him. I hope you have a good experience, too!
