Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

That is sooooooooo exciting!!! I know it seems like it has been a long time coming!!! The 15th is a month away and it will be here before you know it. You are about to endure the ride of your life and it is going to be amazing!! CONGRATS ON THE DATE!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got all of my bloodwork and preop stuff taken care of today while I was in Greenville so I am good to go for surgery on 8-8-8. Dr. MacDonald seemed to be in rare form today. Every time I meet with him I'm more convinced than ever that I've made the right decision. I know how excited you are. The Adkins is not that bad.After some of the stuff I've read on here, I'm just glad we don't have to do the 2 weeks of liquid diet prior to surgery.

It was nice to meet you today - are you going to the meet up on the 26th?
