Just a bit frustrating when we had the surgery and all the problems and they still get to eat but lose weight anyway. I am very glad but sort of jealous too. I sure didn't get to eat a Philly Cheese Steak when we were in Philly (home town) last week. But, I wouldn't change it for anything.

I definitely agree!!  Also...I was born in Philly... small world... haven't been back in probably 30 years though.   Most of my family is gone now.. but were in Douglasville and Pottstown!!!

What??? Not been back? Philadelphia is a great city. There is so much to do and see. We are from just north of the city in Bucks County. There is lovely country side there with old stone homes and buildings, farm lands and lots of wooded acres. If it were warmer there I would have never left.

That's great Sandra! I wish I could say the same for my husband but he has gained about 25 lbs since I had my surgery. He says he finds every pound I lose!!  I hope my kids wont find any of them. I am really hoping they are young enough that I can change the bad habits now. Hope to see you at Logan's.

Well, I no longer allow him to have what I don't eat. I make much less when I cook and only bring in light snacks. If he eats poorly, it is done outside of the house. Mostly he packs his lunch now and eats breakfast at home. Today he has a cold and wasn't packing anything for lunch. I pulled out a Lean Cuisine and told him to take it for lunch. I think he had plans on McDonals or something. He took it and then also a piece of fruit. As I was leaving for work, I noticed he was too. I knew he hadn't eaten breakfast yet and I called him on it. I asked him if he was going to stop for breakfast. He was going to deny it but then got cranky and said he was and what was the big deal. I said no big deal but it better be healthy food. He of course will either get a bagel or McDonald's. That stuff will kill you. He is 308 lbs and shouldn't be eating it. He has high blood pressure and I bet his cholesterol is high too. I try not to say too much because it is his decision and I know from experience that nagging does nothing. Ask my Mother. She has been nagging me for years.

Good for him Sandra. Tell him to keep up the good work in that area. I was a McDonalds hound for  many years.

My demons are diet soda. I resist of course but it is really the only thing that I want of all the things I can't have. Oh well. Good health and less weight is better than diet soda any day.

That is awesome! I think my husband eats more since my surgery! He is planning on doing RNY this spring. I think he wanted me to be the guinna pig to see how it was going to work! lol!
