How long for Medicare to approve surgery?
Hi All,
I had my first appointment with Dr. DeMaria, the nutritionist, and psychologist a couple of weeks ago. I went last week for my pre op testing. Duke Weight Loss Center has all my 6 months documentation with my primary physician, and Dr. DeMaria told me they would get my insurance approved and schedule a surgery date and I would meet with him one more time. My question is: Have any of you been through this process with Medicare? How long was your wait for the insurance approval? Im so glad to have this forum here. It really helps.
