I have spent the last several days just trying to get my boxes unpacked and figure out where I want everything. Its taking forever and I don't want someone else to do it for me because i will never find anything if I have help LOL!

I do not count the walking I do during chores or shopping. I count the dedicated steps as in when I am walking just to walk.
The walking itself has been such a help on getting me on track to success. I walk when I crave a smoke, I walk when I start to crave a food I shouldn't crave, and I walk when other stuff pops up. I actually LIKE it.

Hi Kelly,

I would say that my primary form of exercise is walking and like you I walk with one of my dogs, husband or occasionally my daughter... And like you I find that once I get out and am doing it, I find that I really do enjoy it and feel better.

My favorite exercise is walking. I make my dog and or husband go with me and sometimes my daughter will go as well. It gives me time to think without interruption. It is hard to make myself get going sometimes but once I'm done I'm so glad. Plus it's a good time to talk to hubby or my daughter.

Did our grocery shopping early today so that is all out of the way. I have to do some work this afternoon and I work tomorrow but it is still wonderful to have a few days off.

Went to work out yesterday and it felt soooo good. Sheesh, I really am glad I had this surgery! Friday we went out and I actually bought three new tops and a new bra. I fugure the bra will only last a month or two but it feels good to wear something that fits.I went down from a 48H to a 42H. Was really glad the girls hadn't deflated. LOL I can't beleive I'm a size 22. I know that may still seem huge to some. But this is me! I think I hadn't really thought I'd lose enough to get to this point.

I'm under a lot of stress at work and I'll be working 7 days a week soon but, man, I have the energy to do this now. I don't ache all over all the time. So I guess this weekend while everyone else is celebrating labor day I'm celebrating RNY! Silly but true.

Topic: RE: Raleigh Area Support Group Meeting Saturday 9/3

Thanks to all who attended the meeting today. We had a really nice turnout, we had about 25 people in attendance, which was especially nice when you consider that this is a holiday weekend and that the meeting was moved from the long-standing standard '3rd Saturday of each month.'  It was nice to see a number of old timers, a few that have MIA over the busy summer and many new faces.

Our topic this month was exercise and we talked about why it's important, the impediments we may have to it and ways to get moving. You will see another thread I posted earlier that addresses my own take on those issues.

Thanks again to all who came!
