OK so I am late here and I will let you know that there is food in every corner of this conference center and the choices are varied, they think they are doing well with "healthy" items but the amount of sugar I have to be real careful of, as well as over eating.

Breakfast I had egg& cheese & 1/4 of a Belgian waffle (not great but needed a taste)
lunch Beef stroganoff  w/ baked sweet potato wedge
2 french fries (I told you the food here is everywhere)
snack - banana
dinner - I think is going to be the baked ham and another baked sweet potato wedge.

I am making my own lemonade from the lemons for tea & splenda because if I drink any more coffee I will be sick.  Also I have found a chi spiced tea that is nice when we walk.  I make a cup to carry with me.  It is a 1.3 mile loop through the woods and the deer are so tame they walk beside the path with you, it is weird.  OK back to NH tomorrow so probably no post from me I am leaving the hotel at 6 am for an early flight.

Tina,
I agree with everything Martha posted , starting here is the best step.   I would add are you watching your sugar intake?  I know that is going to be hard for me once I am through dumping.  I know now that it would make me sick and may continue to do so, but others don't have an issue with sugar.  I would go back to basics 70g of protein a day, no more than 9g of sugar in any one meal and make sure you are getting your  80 oz of fluids in.

Welcome back and I hope this helps.

Hi there...

Well posting on here is a great first step.  Admitting there is an issue is half the battle. The second step I would suggest is to get yourself to a support group meeting.  There is a post op meeting in Portsmouth at the hospital next Monday starting at 5:30. At 6:30 our psychologist, Jeff Wagner has a "Back on Track" meeting.  If you can't make that one, or you are too far away, there are support group meetings in other places, Manchester, Derry for a couple.

Until then, I would concentrate on getting back to basics.  Track your food, weigh and measure, keep nothing but good choices in your house.  We have a daily plan posting here, and those of us that post there find it very helpful.

Anyway, I am sure others will chime in here, but please keep posting and asking for help.  We are all here for each other!

Well the candy wasn't an issue because I dump and I didn't feel like doing that before my training trip down to Va.  I am going to try and post early tomorrow before class, now that i know what food they have here for me.

Today I had
Breakfast - egg w/ cheese
snack (protein bar)
lunch 1 bite of peperoni calzone - then sliced ham& Turkey w/ Italian dressing.
dinner prime rib and steamed carrots.
snack later another protein bar.

Have a great night and I will try and catch you all tomorrow.

Well, I am going to keep my goal at 80 miles, the weather may not cooperate much once I get home, so I am going to have to make the effort at work to get this done!
