Topic: RE: September Exercise Challenge Weeks 4 and 5
I hit my goal, but I just don't feel like I exercised as much as I would have liked to towards the end of the month. But I did get in 505 minutes for the last two weeks, and I had 320 from the week before, so my total for the month ended up being 1590.

Hi Lisa-
Sorry it's taken so long for me to respond. I've been in Miami for a few days. By the way, it was warm and sunny, and I wish I was still there!
Anyway, I had seen Dr. Topol for a consultation and liked him very much. I also liked that he was local. However, he would not do more than one procedure at a time on me, and I couldn't keep missing that much time from work. So I opted for the Tufts doctor, Dr. Christopher Davidson. I liked him just as much, if not more, than Dr. Topol. For the most part, I am pleased with my results, although my scars are dark and thick. I can't remember what that's called, but sometimes it happens, and it has nothing to do with the way the surgery was done, just my body. I'm still happier with the scars than I was with all of the hanging skin. My first surgery was a lower body lift and arms. Everything went well. I was out of work about a month for that. The arms were better in a week, and they never really hurt that much anyway. The LBL was a little more painful, but really, I don't remember it hurting any more than the gastric bypass did. That was done in March 2009. In September 2009, I went back to him and had breast implants and my inner thighs done. I love my new girls, but the inner thighs were the absolute worst! Dr. Davidson warned me that he didn't like doing that procedure because he just felt that it was the most painful type of PS. Well, he was not kidding. My incisions opened up the second day home, and it took about 2 months for them to heal so that I didn't have to wear bandages anymore. Although I am happy with the results, I still have hanging skin, so to someone who doesn't know I had them done, they still look saggy. I know that a lot of the skin was removed, but they still don't look great.
Good luck with your surgery. I know you won't regret having it done. It really made a big difference for me as far as self-esteem goes. Having a flat tummy is pretty cool :)

Topic: Thursday's Plan - if you can call it that
OK so the last couple of days planning has been out, hubby is in the hospital and for some reason WDH is not the friendliest RNY cafe that I have been in. I have done ok, and kept my choices simple.
Today
breakfast egg w/ cheese
lunch - grilled chicken wrap (not great but better than most)
dinner - (hope to be home )- chili
snack I am bringing protein bar with me to the hospital
I do need to lay off the coffee and bring some crystal light!

I have stayed below 10g for sugar, I do use the Greek yogurt because of the amount of protein in it. it has 18g compared to the 6-8 in regular yogurt. Add splenda it is gross plain. unless you like sour cream. I am glad you made it and look for eggface. com she has some good shake recipes.
Welcome to the losers bench and hope to catch up with you soon!

I'm just moving to stage 4 of the diet, however a couple of things that I was able to tolerate well for the "snacks" were the 1/2 cup of egg beaters scrambled eggs, sf pudding, I have been able to eat the Walmart "light" yogurt which has 12g of sugar too. FF refried beans with a little egg beaters and melted shredded mozarella cheese is what I had last night and it was awesome! Here's a question for others out there though, has anyone found that they can eat egg beaters but have an intolerance to regular eggs? I made egg salad yesterday and got really sick. I forced myself to not throw up because I was afraid it would hurt too much but I totally could have, cold sweats, it was awful. I'm just trying to pinpoint if I got sick from the eggs or the light mayo w/olive oil? It is too bad because I love egg salad but I may have to start mixing my tuna, chicken, egg salads with greek yogurt or a bit of sour cream instead of mayo. Thanks and I hope this helps.

thanks.
yup, I'm drinking 3 shakes per day and it also says Im supposed to have one of the approved snacks in addition to the shakes (cream soup, yogurt, and bunch of other stuff I can't remember off the top of my head and I don't want t get up up and look
. ) I don't know if I can eat all that! I'm having trouble getting all 8 oz. of the shake down in 1 hr. Not cause I get sick, just full and/or tired and fall asleep. I'm a wicked lightweight when it comes to pain meds
