Topic: September Exercise Challenge Weeks 4 and 5
Hi everyone,

So sorry that I have been slacking.  Has been a really weird two weeks.  I have struggled with a cold, and now day 4 of a headache.  It is getting better though, so I hope to go to the gym.  About the only thing that has saved me is my activity on the weekends.  Major house cleaning, and we went to boston Saturday, and finished cleaning the house on Sunday.  Plus all my walking at work...so I figured that I put in approximately 300 for the two weeks, bringing my total to 1080.  Not close to my goal, but there is always October.

So Dave is not the only one who has been slacking.  I don't think I have planned for two weeks.  I did weigh myself this morning...first time in a month, and was very, very surprised I was only up .2!  So here goes.

Breakfast:  1/2 cup granola with simply smart milk heated.  (my favorite lately)

Lunch:  Shephard's pie (@1 cup)

Dinner:  hummmm, since I am cooking, pork tenderloin, sweet potatoes and green beans...

I have protein bars and baby bell cheeses for snacks, if I need them.

How is everyone else doing???

Dave, I feel your pain!! I have been sucking lately and am really NOT happy with myself or the results. I think its the change of seasons that has thrown everyone off!!

So... the plan

Breakfast: Cottage Cheese w almonds and grapes
Lunch: Chili with low fat cheese
Dinner: umm.... that reminds me that I forgot to take something out of the freezer!

Im hoping the rain holds off so I can go for a walk at lunch. Then I hope to get to the gym after work too. I feel like I havent been doing anything as of late!

Lisa,
Seems we are following similar paths with plastics, just we are opting to do our surgeries in reverse order of each other (and my BL was an extended lift with no augmentation).  I will be going back to Dr Topol for the  abdominoplasty when I have it, probably in about a year.  In the meantime, the BL has "opened up" the area over my ribs (no pendulous boobs overlapping the area) so that there is already a big improvement in how my abdomen looks.
Just a thought , I have a friend who went to Boston for a LBL.  She had numerous complications and very much regreted that she did not go with someone local as it was a huge hassle for her to get into Boston for her follow-ups.  Happily, I had no complications from the BL but I'm still very happy my routine follow-ups are in Manchester.  And anyway, I really like Dr Topol a lot.
Good luck with your surgery!

Hi Martha,

I will be teaching Jazz until Nov. 3rd.  Not sure how long I will have to take off, but you know I'll be back as soon as I can!  I'm happy to hear you missed coming!  Look forward to seeing you on Wed.  Have a great day!

Lisa
