You will do great!!!!
To get through today I suggest walking if you can. I worked the day before and kept myself busy all day. the hardest part was dinner with the family. I walked while they ate dinner, and after that they were nice enough to not eat anything in front of me. We will see you on the losers bench You will be home in no time. Remember to walk as much as you can in the hospital, it is uncomfortable, but it helps sooooo much!!!! That and see if you can get Reiki treatments before and after surgery. I am telling you they really helped me out and I was a huge skeptic before I went in.
TTFN And see you soon!

Tomorrow is my big day
I'm nervous, but VERY excited and can't wait to start my journey. Funny thing is, I'm more stressed about how I am going to go all day today on the clear liquids - I'm hungry aleady! Oh, and of course I had to start my period yesterday (sorry guys).
See you all on the looser's bench

Hi Lisa,
I had both a TT and Breast lift w/implants and my arms done.
My PS did the lift & arms together and I had my TT done 3 months later. I went to the PS clinic at MGH in Boston. It was a great experience and as for pain, I did not find it painful just uncomfortable. I was really back to regular routine by week two for both surgeries, of course you are limited in what you can do for about 4-6 weeks for TT and for the arms & girls it was about 3 weeks...The arms are sore like a razor burn and I had no pain at all for the girls....
By doing it at MGH at the residency clinic I saved a bundle, the lift, implants & arms were 5,300.00 and that covered everything, an over night stay and I came home the next night around 7pm....My insurance covered my TT because they paid for my RNY but that would have been about 4,000.00 again with an over night stay and everything covered including post op visits. It is well worth it, I have no regrets and it completed the journey to look more normal... Good luck and I hope you have an easy time...Laurie

I saw Dr. Topol again yesterday. I think I'm going to have an abdominalplasty with vertical extention and muscle tightening. Now I need to know how the pain was for you, how long was your recovery, was it worth it, and what is your scarring like now? I'm having "slight" second thoughts mostly because of the fear of going under again and justifying the cost. Any info. you can give me would be appreciated.
Thanks! Lisa
Also, if you wanted, would your ps do more than 1 surgery? I also want a breast lift with implants, but Dr. Topol won't do both surgeries.

So I'm gonna start things early. I have NOT been doing well as of late so I really need to get back on this plan thing... and into the gym (I don't think lunch time walks are cutting it!)
So Today's plan
Breakfast: Egg w low fat cheese and left over taco meat
Lunch: 3oz chicken w mashed potatoes. BBQ sauce for dipping.
Dinner: Turkey Sausage with peppers and onions.
I don't bring snacks to work bc I always eat them, hungry or not... but then I get home and snack less than an hour before dinner. Its vicious! Today I'm going to the gym after work and hubs promised to have dinner ready for me so I cant snack. Hope that works out! Things cant be going 'up' less than a year out!

Diane,
welcome back, I am not a bander, but I know sugar is a huge problem!!!! Good for you for knowing this is the problem. That is the first step to taking back control. Is there a way you can get rid of the candy? For me out of sight is out of mind. My downfall and trouble spot is bread, actually asiago cheese bread. I can pass about any other kind so when I hit the store if it is out I have to avoid that end of the store. I know at times we all need a good kick in the butt, so consider yourself hugged and welcomed back to where you need to be.
