I can't go to the meeting this month. Our law clerk is leaving, and her going away party is that night. It's going to be a tough week. My judge is retiring on Thursday also. Although I'm so happy for him to be able to enjoy this new phase in his life, it means a count-down for my job. I will likely be without one by spring :(
How is the -100 calories/day going for you? I am just struggling through every day. I think I lost about 2 pounds all month. Two down is better than two up, but I think it's harder this time around than any other time in my life, including pre-surgery!

I was also told absolutely no NSAIDS ever again from Dr. Goulds office. I have been on vicodin for back pain pretty much since I had my suregery almost a year ago. I lose all this weight and have constant back pain, doesn't make sense to me. Hopefully yours in just temporary.

just want to let everyone know, that includes you Kathy V. that this coming Tuesday night is our group at the Nashua Senior center. Dr. Jeff Brown attends, along with some of the team.
we meet from 7-9 the 4th Tuesday of the month. Anyone thinking about surgery, pre-ops and post -ops are all welcome.

Hi Carol, Nashua OB/GYN is great. They are at Harris Pond next to the Registry in Merrimack (just over the Nashua line)
I reaaly like Dr.Wasserman but all the doctor's at that practise are good....Congrats on the baby they are such a blessing...

Topic: OB recommendations for the Nashua area?
I am two years post op RNY and just got pregnant. Can anyone recommend any OB's familiar with RNY or Gastric Bypass in general in the Nashua area?

Thanks Weezie! I haven't had any trouble walking, my stomach is sore for obvious reasons and my back is sore due to the bed. They have found that I was allergic to the liquid pain meds so I am taking Darvocet crushed up in applesauce and it is about as disgusting as it gets. They are trying to get me to drink a CIB right now and the smell is so foul. This is not going to be easy. I wish I could just stick with water. Believe it or not,even the water tastes sweet! Oh well, I'll be happy when I can get some rest at home. No resting in here although I've been doing Reiki every day and it really relaxes me. Yesterday I fell asleep and didn't even realize she left. It will be your turn soon! Best of luck to you!

OK, I have little things to celebrate and have wow moments on.
Yesterday after a long day at work I was leaving and walking to my car, and I heard a whistle from the guys working on the building. I turned and looked to see who they were whistling at and there was no one else out there. Just me WOW what an ego boost.
And earlier that day I was in a big meeting and not thinking I sat down and crossed my legs, I don't remember the last time I was able to cross my legs at a meeting ??? Just the little things that I am thankful for everyday.

Dr Gens will be doing my RNY in October ! I am sending positive thoughts your way... Even I'm not there yet,,,, I know you must try to get in all your water... I'm hoping you're able to also get in some rest ? How's the walking going, have you been able to walk the halls ? I suppose you'll be going home tomorrow or friday ? Don't forget your pillow for the car ride home, to hold it against your belly for support, to lessen the pain when hitting pot holes....

Thanks. One thing I learned today. I'm taking a fish oil supplement and I guess that can be a blood thinner? I never knew that. Should I stop taking it?
