Hi Kathy,
It doesn't feel like gas pains. It has been fine for the last few hours too. See, that's why I hate making appts. Because when I go, the pain is gone, but an hour later it might come back.
The best relief is when I sit in a chair or my car and push my back to the seat and contract my abs.
Thanks for the advice. I might have to give the bay tea a try later.

I was told never to take NSAIDS again :(
I even asked about an NSAID patch for back pain and despite only 1% systemic absoption, I was still told no. GRRR.
I hope you feel better.

Hi Lisa,
Sorry to hear about your back pain. Being as far out as we are, Advil is okay to take -- just don't start making a habit of it, but if it will get you through the back troubles, it's okay. That's what they told me at Tufts over a year ago. As far as the pain, could it be gas? I had pain that sounds like what you're going through twice. It was so bad at times that I was doubled over. I came very close to going to the hospital to get checked out. Then my daughter, who is a nurse, suggested that I drink some bay leaf tea. She said that's what they give people who are having gas pains. And you make it just like it sounds: a bay leaf or two steeped in ho****er. Believe it or not, it worked both times for me. You may want to try that. I didn't believe at the time that the pain I was feeling was attributed to gas, but the tea really worked. Good luck!

I missed a day of exercise because I was home waiting for a phone call that I could not miss. The call never came, and I didn't get my workout in that day -- aaaaaargh! All in all, I still had a good week though - 320 minutes.

I have an appt. tomorrow...
GBS'ers, can we take Advil? Everywhere I read they say no. I have taken it twice in the last 4 days and it seems that my back pain decreases when I take it. So, the pain comes and goes and sometimes it runs into my lower abdomen. WTH could this be?

It sounds like everyone here is falling apart!! Must be the change of seasons trying to kill us all!
Yesterday went pretty well. Got my walk in at lunch which was nice.
Today's plan
Breakfast: Egg w. low fat cheese and left over turkey taco stuffing
Lunch: chili w. low fat cheese
Dinner: steak and veggie
I'm going to work on drinking more today, I think I have been slacking in that as of late. Also hope to hit the gym for the 1st time in 3 weeks tonight!! I still feel like crap (Day 15!) and am exhausted thanks to the visit from the Skunk last night but I NEED to go!!!
Hope everyone feels better soon!!

Thank you both for all the kind words. It means a lot to have people care and know first hand what you are going though. I will talk to you soon!

Oh Sookie, I feel for you. I hate migraines.
I did pretty good yesterday. Fought demons for most of the day, but then went for a run and felt better. Afraid I may be coming down with a cold though. I hope not. I am not a very good sick person!
So today, here is my plan:
Breakfast: Greek yogurt (pineapple) with 1/3 cup low fat granola
Lunch: I have absolutely nothing in the house, so I guess it will be a salad from shaws or hannaford, or chili from Wendy's
Dinner: I am planning on going to Jazzercise tonight, unless I feel totally yuck, so Gary is cooking!
I stopped and got pure protien bars yesterday, and I have cheese sticks also.
Let's see how today goes. Trying hard to stay on track!

I will try and stop by Thursday. Afraid I may be coming down with a cold, but not sure. I will keep you posted.
Make sure you keep walking and sipping!!
