Topic: Got Approved almost 2 weeks ago but no date set
Hey guys I am a bit confused. I had my meeting with Dr Gens last month and have met all of my pre surgery goals, attended the classes, met Jackie 2 times, etc. I got informed almost 2 weeks ago that my insurance has approved the WLS for me. I have yet to hear from the Dr. office to schedule the surgery or even to schedule my second MD appointment, is this normal or should I call the Office to put a spur under their butt?

Yesterday was eh. No chili at Hannaford so I ended up at Subway for lunch. Not the best, but it could have been worse. Didn't go to the gym either, but went for an hour walk when I got home. Still feeling like poo so the gym may still be up in the air for tonight.

Today's plan

Breakfast: Cottage cheese w. grapes and almonds
Lunch: Chili
Dinner: Crap... I forgot to take something out... maybe tacos
Snack: have some baby bells at home I might get into.

Tomorrow I have an appt with Dr. Gens. Time to decide if I need a fill or not. Before surgery I never thought it would be difficult to know if it was fill time or not.. but its definitely more complicated than I thought it would be!

good morning..

yesterday went OK for me.. i seemed to be hungry all day though.. i added another shake at around 10:30 and pushed lunch to 12:30 and seemed to be OK the rest of the day.. my wife made seafood chowdah for dinner and i ate too much of it (always been a weakness of mine) but i Had about 1/4 of what i would have had a year ago so i guess its good.. i also stepped on the scale this morning and it still seems to be moving in the correct direction.. think it is going to be time very soon to figure out how to stop the weight loss and maintain where i am.. i have planned for the "bounce" that i know will happen but i am not sure where i will put in more calories to stop the losing...

well for today

iced coffee with sugar free coffee mate
breakfast- eas carb advantage shake
lunch- tuna with 6 wheat thins and light mayo
snack-pure protein bar
snack -Greek yogurt
dinner - steak and a veggie i think

thanks for listening to me rant

Dave
p.s. Dad( big-red) is doing good and feeling great ..

There is no need to look back unless you plan on going that way!

I only had about 120 minutes last week.  I already have that beat this week so that is a very good thing.

I got in 240 minutes last week, not as much time as I had hoped, but this week will be better.  Heading off to the gym now.

I was pretty active last week walking around, snorkeling, that sort of thing, but of course I don't know exactly how many minutes I did.
I'm going to call it 300 I think. Figure, its the min I have to get in a week to stay on target and I did at least that. Hopefully being behind my normal times will motivate me more!

Im with you Dave, its gonna be hard to get back in the routine, but it needs to be done!
I think i did alright last week. came back a pound or 2 down from when I left so i think that worked out well. Feel like poo though, definatly got some sort of something on the plane home, and I think my stomach is revolting, hasnt been happy since saturday.

So, the plan (not very good since I need to go grocery shopping!)

Breakfast: PB&J on a bread round
Lunch: Hoping they have Chili at Hannaford today!
Dinner: Thinking Turkey Sausage with peppers and onions (Ill be at the store so I can get whatever!)

Hope to hit the gym tonight before the store.... let see how good I am!
