September 21st! I have my surgery date! I am psyched! Now if we can just get through my daughter's T&A surgery tomorrow, I'll be doing great! Thanks for all the continued support and words of encouragement! ~Becca

Hi Gayle....Oh boy! Our doctors have told us that women become very fertile after WLS! I guess it is true.
As long as the tea and coffee you are drinking is decaf, it is counted as a water. Caffeinated beverages are a diuretic, so they tend to not hydrate you at all.

You are doing just fine. We all find that posting our meal plan here is a big help. It really keeps me on track. It also makes you very accountable! Just take one day, one hour, one minute at a time. Remember, your surgery is only a tool, and you must change behaviors. It is so hard, but I know you can do it.

Thanks for sharing your success at the meetings. It is encouraging to me. I feel that my initial recovery is over and I am able to eating more, I am already afraid that I am going to start up old habits and behaviors. It is nice to hear you and David talk about your successes. I have set a goal to journal my intake for the next three days. Small but acheivable, I feel like I am sneaking in too many things that I don't need, like peanut butter, Gold Fish crackers etc.

Yesterday went well until I got home. My parents were in Montreal (my favorite city in the world) and brought us back croissants. Holy God they are good.... and I ate my for dessert :( Apparently I have a weakness for pastries that begin with the letter 'C'. Need to keep working on my parents to NOT bring me food i guess!!
So todays plan
Breakfast: Cottage Cheese w. grapes and almonds
Lunch: Steak w. a scoop of chili in hopes of keeping it moist in the microwave
Dinner: Sausage with onions and pepper
Snack: I have baby bell at home in case I get hungry before dinner. i have been getting hungry after the gym as of late, and dinner never seems to be ready when I get home
Activity went alright yesterday. Hit the gym and tried another run. Another half mile before I couldn't work through the pain anymore. Was bad enough to wake me up last night and still hurts today. I think running is on hold until I see the doc @ the end of Sept :( Going to try to walk at lunch and work through some of it.

This was a great week for me. Lots of training for my run and a great run on Sunday to honor fallen soldiers in Maine. I had 690 min.
