I don't believe there is anyone in NM that can do a fill. What made you decide to go to Lubbock when you could have gone to El Paso? Just Curious

Unfortunately, there is really nothing you can do about the dreaded hairloss, but the good news is when it does grow back, it seems like it comes in healthier and fuller. The hairloss is not so bad that you look bald or anything, you will just notice it more because you see your hairbrush full of hair. Believe me it's worth it when you see all your wonderful weightloss results.

Topic: pre-op testing finished!!!!!
Today i faxed the report/results of the last of the tests on my list to the doctor. Now the fun starts.... Waiting. I hope it doesn't take the doctor's office long to submit to the insurance and i hope the insurance doesn't take long. Not sure if i am being unrealistic, but i would like to have my surgery in July sometime. I have a little one in school. He will have to stay with his dad who lives in another city while i recover, I don't want him missing school.

Hello Deb -
The best way to reduce or help stop hair loss is making sure your getting enough protien. I also used along with protien supplements a supplement pill from GNC called NAILS and Hair along with Omega 3 . A lot of times the hair loss is from the trauma you go through with anesthesia and your body will take its course with this. Dont worry the hair usually starts to show new life right about the time you think you cant lose any more. Talk to your Dr. about how much protien you should be taking in with meals and protien shakes or bars. Good luck... Im sure you will do ok.

I live in Las Cruces. I havn't had my surgery yet. My doctor is in Lubbock Texas, 8 hours away. Does anyone know if there is a doctor in NM that does fills or do I have to drive the 8 hours to Lubbock? Driving 8 hours for a 15 minute proceedure seems silly.

Topic: RE: Can things get worse?
Hey Richard,
I know things are tough and I wont throw any sunshine at you, but consider this. I was one of those steel workers that lost his job when the steel industry collapsed. I hit the street with over 4000 other guys and found there was no work to be had, couldnt even find a job flipping burgers. I moved to Atlanta Dec 26th, leaving my wife and two young sons behind. I got a 6.00 an hour job, lived in my car, washed at the camp grounds and shaved at gas stations so I could send every penny home. I got a better job at AT&T and was laid off 6 months later. Then I found work at Siemens and was again facing a lay off. I sat back and began to think, what could I do to make money? The answer came to me that with my high school education I had nothing to offer an employer that was unique or needed, I had to look at work others were unwilling or unable to do. Something that would put me on the same level as the college boys. I found what I was looking for in waste water treatment. Few people stand in line for the jobs, HS education was sufficient, it was all on the job training, and few college grads were interested in this field. It really paid off for me. I'm not saying that waste water is for you, I am saying think about what you can do that others may not be willing to do. There was no beauty contests where I worked, wages increased with your ability to gain certification, and the field was wide open. Think about what you can do!
