Topic: Can anyone give me some tips
I have no idea how to get started on this journey.
I currently do not even have a PCP, so I know I need to establish, but how exactly do you get started doing this. From what I have read, you have to go on a supervised diet, which I have done in the past and am certainly open to trying again. But are most PCP's amenable to this kind of thing and what kind of Dr. you need a referral for? I am just at a loss as to how to start this. Also if anyone has the name of a good PCP, I would appreciate any recommendation that will take Pres insurance.

Congrats and Best Wishes for an uncomplicated surgery and speedy recovery!
I'm headed down to Victoria Texas this weekend and my surgery will be on Tuesday, March 1st so maybe we can compare recovery stories! I'm having a laprascopic RNY; what type are you having? Again, best wishes coming your way!

Sounds like you might have an internal hernia. I would recommend you call your surgeon ASAP.

I met with Dr. Castro last Friday. They did all my pre-op stuff then. I am scheduled for surgery on Monday, Feb. 28th. 
It will be at Providence in El Paso.

Topic: Class with doctor/doector's appointment
Went to a class last night in El Paso with about 25 others on the surgery. It was interesting.
I have an appointment with Dr. Castro tomorrow morning and it looks like my surgery will be the first week in March. YAHOO!
