Ashley I am so sorry for your unfortunate introduction to a surgeon who disregarded ethics for money. It is patients such as yourselt who are not afraid to warn OH members to research their surgeons and I thank you again.  I hope your recovery continues to prosper and your are feeling better. Thanks for the advice and always remember;  "KARMA DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE,,,, AND EVERY DOG HAS IT'S DAY".....

I am so sorry for not keeping in touch lately...Things have been crazy and I have been trying to get my body on a schedule, but I think I may be overdoing it because my body is always tired now..lol...hey can't be mad at sleeping all the time...But thanks for the congrats above.

How are you doing so far? Well I finally got my tube removed on Thursday and that was a relief!! I am so thankful because I hated carrying that "Bulb" around...It made me feel like i had a siamese twin stickin' out on my side telling me to "Drain me, drain me"...LMAO!! Oh well, that that's an experience I won't forget, but so far, everything is going great. I have lost 27 lbs so far and I am soooo happy...Looking forward to more. Also, I agree that our state board is doing great and as long as we all keep sharing our successfull stories on here, we will be the "HOT" topic out there!! I will definitely do my part!! Well, I hope you have a great Sunday today miss thang and keep in touch if you can. As soon as I am back to work and feeling 100% better, we all need to set a date for dinner....Love you gurl!!

Long time no hear, but thanks for the post!! No worries, I know we all get busy, but I am actually just logging in today to update everyone with my status. I am doing great and better than I thought I would. I know I may be overdoing some activities lately because my body tires real easy, but I just can't wait to get to my goal. Welcome to the Losers Bench!!!!!! Sorry I wasn't here offering CONGRATS sooner but we moved 2 weeks ago and FINALLY got internet access today(I HATE being poor...lol).
Glad everything went well...get ready for ONE WILD RIDE!!!!!!!

I'm four weeks out today and down 35 lbs...and Jenny from Dr. Hanna's called me and Cole, my significant other got approved for RNY!!!! It's funny, I was FREAKING OUT when I found out my insurance was changing on Jan 1...I'd been trying to do the 6 month diet for Aetna, but on 1/1, our insurance changed to Empire BC/BS. No such requirement! I was approved the first week I had the insurance, and now Cole is finally going to be healthy too!

He's 6'6", 407 lbs....has crippling arthritis in his knees, diabetes and high blood pressure.  Like me, he's been obese since childhood.

His date is March 15th, and now I just need to get him on this board so he can meet some of the great people I've met so far!
