Hey Miss Thang:)..Yes I am home today and things are going better than I planned!! Man, I can't believe that the biggest hurdle is over with and I am on the Loser bench now!! Man, the same day after the surgery is no JOKE! Man I was in so much pain, but later on that night and the next day, the pain is less and less. Man I walked my butt around that hospital every 4-5 hours because I was detemined to get better and go home...As of right now, it is not as bad, but I still get sore and tired walking around my apt. Sipping my gatorade and water and staying on my liquid diet as well...
What is most exciting is I just weighed myself tonight and I lost 16 pounds already!! WOW!! I cannot believe it!! How are things going with you so far? Well I hope you keep in touch and one day we can all meet up for lunch or dinner...Take Care missy and keep strong!!

Hi! Welcome to Vegas!
I would recommend my surgeon, Dr. Bernie Hanna. He's a great doctor with a beautiful personality and truly cares about his patients. I have found that his staff are very polite and most helpful as well. My PCP is Dr. Pauline Miller and she's located at Meadow's Medical Center. (I wouldn't trade her for anyone else -- she's great!). As far as a NUT, I go to Joey Sjostrom, here's her website: www.nutritionbyjoey.com

I can't believe that my time has come and that I am actually going thru with this!! Boy has it been hard these last few days with the clear liquid diet!!! I kept having to change channels on my TV because of all the commercials showing Chicken WIngs(hmmm, my favorite) and everything else under the Sun. But I am keeping strong and holding on
..LOL...But I wanted to come and post before my big day tomorrow and just let everyone on here know that if I can do it, definitely ANYONE can do it!! Also, thank you sooooo much to all the awesome angels on here who have been in contact with me throughout my time on here and sharing their experiences and advice. Especially Val(love ya gurl) and also Barb and Lisa...Thank you guys sooo much because I really could not have gotten my head on straight if it wasn't for you all!! Also, to anyone out there who is getting their procedures done tomorrow too, Good Luck as well!!

I only was able to have the revision cause of the complications I was having. I had 13 ulcers and no tissue left from the pouch that they had no option accept for to remove it, and to make a new penny size pouch. So it goes esphogus to intestins straight. I was sick all the time, had a feeding tube in the abdomin... Sorry that I cant be much more help. How ever if you want to meet up and talk you can e-mail me at [email protected] and I can give you my phone number and address and we can meet up and talk... If you want too.

im new to the nevada forum and im looking for information on what qualifications you have to meet to have a revision done..my first surgery was done in Norman OK and now we are also located in fallon. if you have any information you could pass along that would be great. Jamie

Hi everybody! I am new to this forum, so I thought I would stop in and say hello. I currently live in Lubbock, Texas, but my fiance got into med school in Nevada so we are moving soon (BIG YAY!!!!). We will be living in the Henderson/Las Vegas area and are looking to transfer all my medical stuff (surgeon/etc.). Does anyone have a recommendation about a good PCP, surgeon, or NUT????

Congratulations!! You can do it missy, hang in there!! Wow, your journey really begins right now and how exciting that must be:)...I am so happy and proud of you Lisa and now I am even more excited as well for my surgery. This is my last week of being overweight and I just can;'t wait. Please keep us posted of your journey and hopefully one day we can all get together for a Girls Day out!!
