Because I already had my surgery date, I knew Christmas 2002 would be my last in a plus-size body.
Coming up on my 7th POST-OP anniversary and I have NOT gained back any weight!
I am truly "at home" in a strong, healthy body after being a yo-yo dieter for most of my previous 50+ years prior to RNY in 2/03.

Dr. Teng 838-5888. Hands down he's the best! Don't know if he takes Aetna or not...check out his website.

This thread is proof positive that you should not believe everything you read on the internet.

I'm 11 months post-op with Dr. R.  My surgical experience was first-rate.  Recovery VERY easy and quick. Complications zilch. I've lost 165 pounds and am nearing my goal weight.  

I've had zero reflux issues.  I was worried about that because of the topology of the connection between intestine and stomach after surgery - no pyloris valve in between anymore.  It simply has NOT been an issue.  

Anyone who has actually met Dr. R. and his staff will tell you this thread is pure baloney.

Jodi...it's Saturday Jan 23,2010 10 am @ SouthPoint Casino. Dana has gone few times before and says should get there around 830am. So far it'll be myself; you;Dana;Gina. Think Becky may come. Hoping that Val has that day off and will be able to join us. We need girl bonding time now and then :)

Phooey.  Big bunch of Hooey!  I have many MGB friends and had mine 2 1/2 years ago with no complications.  My friends have none either unless they don't follow the rules and guidelines as set forth in the manual.  It is a lifetime change.
