Yea, I have HPN through work. When I tried to get H.I. myself I either couln't, or the price was skkyyyyyy high because of my weight.

Did your Sig Other have Aetna or somthing?

I had HPN, and they have an $11,000 copay for WLS. With medical necessity, they will cover it, but you need to check the benefits. I ended up switching to Aetna.

Sorry to hear about your back problems. I had fusion surgery in 2004 and was back at work in 1 1/2 weeks. I went thru the trigger shots, the epiderals the whole gamet. They finally did what was called a disco gram (no not a dance heehee) They found out I had a leaking dics and surgery would be th eway to improve it. I want to give youthe name of an excellent doctor who did my surgery. His name is Dr. Halki and he is with Reno Ortho.
Doing the needle that is guided by xray is different. It did not last very long but some people it does. I truly hope all goes well for you.

The groups are run by Dr. Lindsey. She has quite a bit of experience in WLS support groups. UPDATE!

So, I received notification over the weekend that my Authorization/Referral status with Tricare had changed. I logged in, and found that my status had changed from PENDING REVIEW to ANC. What did that mean? I did a Google search, and came up blank. And OF COURSE, Customer Service was closed until 0800 yesterday morning.

So at 0803 I called them and found out. It means Authorization Not Certified.

Tricare sent notice to Dr. Earl's office that they needed additional information in order to process my claim. (We knew that ~ I got a copy of the letter last week.) Tricare is stating that they never received the additional information they requested, therefore, Dr. Earl's office must resubmit the entire packet. (Which means we start the process all over again.)

So, I am DENIED. We start again...

Waiting is agony. Anyone else with Tricare ever get a "ANC" answer. What does it mean? I tried Google-ing it... only to come up blank. Any help would be appreciated!
