Does anyone know where I can find a cheap CPAP machine? My husband has been scheduled for the sleep study in late September and I am afraid every night when he sleeps so I decided to see if anyone has a CPAP machine that they no longer use or maybe refer me to someone who can sell me one.

He has to be tested first. Then they will have to set the machine at the amount he needs. This is very important because if it is to low it will still not work to take care of the apnea. If it is set to high he could go into central apnea. It is best to wait for the testing. Kel

Kelly, Thank you for the information, I had no clue that is how the machine actually works. I actually looked up prices, they are very expensive, we might as well just wait. Waleska

Your health insurance should cover it. Once he is tested and goes back for his titration they will refer you to a healthcare place like Lincare to obtain the machine. It is rented usually in the beginning before the actual purchase which should be covered by your insurance company as it is medically necessary. Kel

Dear Waleska, I have one that is three weeks old. I have used it 4 times. You can have it with my blessings. I guess the doctor just has to change the settings. Please let me know if you want it...and how I can get it to you. I live in Queens. Hugs Susan
