Amy I know you had asked so I figured I'd start a new thread
We went to the East Durham Irish Festival in the Catskills. I'm cheap so I brought my own food, plus it's mostly greasy fair like food, and I wanted to stay healthy, so I had hummus in a cooler. The sign said "no coolers" so I took out my Inamed card and showed it to the security guard and told him I had surgery and had to eat what I had, is it ok to bring my cooler. He checked it and I was cleared to go cooler and all. Hubby goes and get ribbon chips. I was having a fit at the smell, but I contained myself, and didn't have any. Then a family next to us was eating corned beef and cabbage. Corned beef used to be another one of my emotional eating foods. But I behaved.
It was nice listening to the music but around 8:30 or so I started to get tired-lol. I am just not a night person. Next time we do something, it will be something we both like

Kristine,
Hun I am so glad you had a great time.
You did awesome with the eating as well.
I am in bed by 9:30-10pm so I understand...

Hey Kristine,
My husband eats all kinds of yummy things in front of me too. I am craving things by smell, but the idea of actually eating them repulses me.
I'm sorry to hear that you ended up battling deamons instead of having a relaxing time, but I do applaud you restraint and proactivity (good idea to have your Inamed card! Where did you get that?).
At least you got out together. Next time will be more to your tailoring!
Thanks for the update!!!
xoxo

Amy,
Can you believe since I am an informational sponge, I found out about from message boards and not my surgeon? So I called Inamed and asked them for a patient information packet, and told my surgeon's office about it in case they get other inquiries. Inamed thought it was strange my surgeon didn't give me one, and thought their rep should have given some to them to give out, but the surgeon didn't know anything about them until I told them.
I have heard of bariatric surgeons giving cards regarding weight loss surgery.
