Friendlys ? Dennys?
Hi Kitty,
I agree with Amy C. 11 days out and expected to eat???? no way! If it must be then go for something that you know you will tolerate. Thinned out farina with a touch of milk and some Splenda or sweet & low or a poached egg chopped up very finely. Eat verrrry slowly as well..a half of a spoonful every 3-5 minutes...
Remember that your pouch is still healing and is probably only the size of an egg or about 2 oz. Give that mental picture to your family and ask them to keep that image in mind for now on (you too!!!).
Part of the process is learning to eat all over again but the right foods. Don't press the pouch..it can get very angry and let you know when you least expect it.
Good luck and Happy Father's Day to Farhad.

Howdy Kitty! I've been to Denny's, i've been to Friendly's and i've eaten well and enough in both. When i go to Friendly's i order a bowl of New England clam chowder, a bowl because one or two of my kids will help me fini**** At Denny's i order one or two poached eggs and i thoroughly enjoy them. Denny's usually has soup too so you can order that. If i'm not hungry i'll order a large decaf iced coffee with skim milk and just enjoy that. This surgery in no way inhibits how i live my life. My family goes out to dinner on occassion and I'm going too and I'm not afraid of where we go i'll make good choices......the one time i did not was a bad enough experience i only want that once thanks. Be Well and Eat Well! ANDI
