I'M so,so,so happy!
Im Michelle from broome county.Well after 5 yrs of research I'm taking the steps! I found a awesome DR in Pa meeting with him on July 20th which is my birthday.What a gift it would be
if all goes right! im in search of friends, who can encourge me everyday SO far my family and friends are 50/50 on the surgery. But they dont understand the pain I feel everyday,a walk to post office where my hips hurt which is like a 1 min walk,who I see in mirror isnt who I once was. And daughters Liz who is on her way to adulthood last year of HS and tends to go straight into Coast Guard after to find herself very proud of her high honor roll student good kid...And my little Brianna who is 7,also she is disabled ...now she gonna need me for along time,but with this weight it won't happen...she is joy, but i can't keep up with her,due to my weight. So for those in my circle who thinks go buy a case of slim fast or jenny craig,weigh****chers I SAY I HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE...told my one brother if he keeps placing neg on me to please don't call...all my siblings are fit Ya know I had to be the one to have the French's genes ( My father was never heavy but his mom and half sister were . My grandma died age 37 due to colon cancer,aunt died at 42 to dietbeties,my dad rip died at age 67 2005 heart failure had stroke 1st in 98. Im happy I may have the chance to live again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome! I am new here too. Like you I have been seriously thinking and researching WLS (for 2 years) and I made an appointment to meet with a surgeon for a consultation. I am excited & nervous ...but way more excited the more i read, talk to others and learn more about the surgery - the more excited and good i feel about this. My appoinment is July 13th - I can't wait to go. I would love to hear your update too. I have a wonderully supportive husband, mom, dad and sis, best friend and father in law , MY mother in law is not thrilled ( LOVE her but - oh well - you can make everyone happy) friends that I have told are 50 / 50. I am happy to have a great deal of support. I have three YOUNG daughters, I just want to be healthy and live LIFE and enjoy it even more than i do now!
