Anyone have Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield
I've been submitted!!
Which is so exciting and nervewracking at the very same time. I feel some relief to know that I've done my part to the best of my ability, and now it is no longer in my hands. However, waiting is driving me nuts! Anyone out there have Excellus BCBS, and, if so, how long did they take to get back to you? I'm so anxious! Thanks!!

I have Excellus BCBS. I went to the doctor on a Friday afternoon and he was going to submit it to the insurance company. Monday was a holiday and I was already approved on Thursday. Give it about a week and call the insurance company and when you get the approval call the doctors office. I was told they were sending a letter to the doctor and one was never sent so i faxed mine over. Good luck to you. Keep us posted. They were really quick for me.

Wow- I hope my approval goes as quick as that! Looks like it was less than a week turn-around! My doctor's office had me scared, because they scheduled me for my next appointment 5 weeks from now. They said my approval would take all that time. I hope they're wrong!!! Also, I didn't know that I could call my insurance company to see if I've been approved. That is WONDERFUL!
Thanks Karen. I thought about what you said, and then I got a call from the Highland Group saying I would basically have to start over again. That was a real deal breaker. It seems silly to switch when I am so close and I really like my doctor. So, let's hope I get approved soon and can announce my date!!
No word yet!! So frustrating. Even more frustrating is the fact that the insurance company hasn't even received the information from my doctor! He told me last Wednesday "I'm submitting you!" But I called BCBS today and they haven't even received anything. That is really disappointing. I busted my butt to get everything ready ASAP, but the doctor's office didn't do their part! Oh, well. Here' hoping it's submitted by tomorrow and I can stop being so nervous sometime soon! I'll keep you posted!
