surgery temporarily cancelled

Hi OH friends, At 1:30 today I got a call from Albany Medical Center that my surgery time would be 8:30 am tomorrow. At 2:30 I got a call from Dr Rosati's office saying that the surgery was now cancelled due to the fact that they felt the cardiologist who did my clearance did not deal thoroughly enough with a past stress test (from a few years ago) which had inconclusive results. The long and short of it is that I need to get reassessed (this time by a cardiologist who's awake) and if they can rule out any problems (which is likely), my surgery will be rescheduled for next week. When I found out, I melted into a puddle of sobs at work. My coworkers (who all know about my plans) were very kind and supportive. It's a real drag, as most of you know, you have to rearrange your life, schedule, vacation time etc to make surgery happen. Hopefully, I'll get rescheduled for sooner rather than later, and minimal damage will be done scheduling wise. Just wanted to update you all. I'll let you know as things develop. Hugs, Amy
