Topic: EGD
Hi
Does anyone know of a doctor in the New York City area that does the EGD test, one who is familiar with weight loss surgery. I had RNY in 2001 looking for a revision to the DS.
Thanks
Dana

Would you like a recipe for some lean pork chops but don’t know any that will work with your bariatric diet?
Gastric bypass recipes don’t need to be bland, pureed or boring. Take this recipe for pork chops that’s safe for the bariatric diet. There’s nothing bland about it, nothing boring and it’s certainly not pureed. This is bariatric nutrition in style!
Bariatric Diet Recipe
Ingredients (Safe For the Bariatric Diet)
• 4 center cut boneless pork chops, pounded to 3/4 inch thick
• 1⁄2 tsp sea salt
• 1⁄2 tsp ground black pepper
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2/3 cup balsamic vinegar
• 2 tsp. Splenda
Preparing Your Bariatric Food
Trim fat from the pork chops and pound each chop with a mallet to about 3/4 inch thickness.
Seasonpork chops on both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Heat your frying pan for 1 minute then add olive oil. Heat one minute more, then add the pork chops.
Cook over medium-high heat until they’re well-browned on both sides and chops are cooked thoroughly, should be about 5 minutes total.
Place the pork chops on a plate and set aside. Lower pan heat slightly, to about medium heat.
Mix vinegar and Splenda, then add to pan; coo****il slightly thickened, it should take about 2 minutes.
Place the pork chops back into pan along with any liquid which has settled on the plate. Cook for about 4 minutes, turning several times to glaze pork chops with vinegar and Splenda sauce.
Serve hot. Pour remaining sauce over pork chops. Makes 4 servings.
Bariatric Nutrition Information per Serving
302 calories, 29 grams protein, 17 grams fat, 2 grams carbohydrate, 315 mg sodium.
As you can see, this meal is easy to fix and is fit for a king. Bariatric recipes really can be delicious as well as fulfilling your nutritional needs.
Bon appetit!

Heather,
Thank you so much Ido not have a membership to planet fitness but that is something I am certainly willing to look into. I am still trying to get approval for my surgery but doing what I can on my own until then so I would absolutely love a support group.
