Lisa and DEb,
It's NEVER too late, at times we just need to be reminded about how our tool works for us only if we work with it.
So, no more slacking!
Let's post daily accordingly and also share any struggles and or concerns.
Who else will join us?
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Topic: RE: Very New Pre-Op
Congrats on taking these first steps at this new lifestyle!
This is just the first steps and it takes time to learn the new way of life! I am 5 1/2 years post op and STILL learning because I just did get it the first time. LOL Know that learning the good and the bad takes time and you have to allow for that.
The biggest thing for me was learning the WHY I medicate with food, dealing with the mind I think is the biggest and hardest part and without that it does not work.
Taking control feels great right?
Always remain positive and moving forward, even when we take steps back we are still really moving forward in our learning!

Lisa,
Yes that is when it gets tough, when we have issues in our lives that we take back our old habits and ways. This is an addiction and it is something I know I have to deal with every day. I think when I was down to a "normal" weight I thought I was was "normal" but I will never be that way, I will ALWAYS have a good addiction. That is my form of medication, food!
I have put into place many things that will help me on a daily level and I know that I will need to stay with this forever, even more so when things get crazy in life!
Glad to see you here, that is a BIG step as before we would have never addressed these issues so Kudos for us!

Hey Lisa,
GLAD to see you back on OH again. Let's try to make this board more active again, together, with Deb and others, we can do it! It will ONLY help us all, don't you think?
Ok, so beginning tomorrow, lets post our daily food each day and exercise routine.
I'd love it for EVERYBODY to participate and make the BEST use of this forum for all who attend.
Also, for extra daily inspiration, PLEASE feel free to be active on LIPO (Long Island Post Ops) Facebook page, it is AWESOME and a lot of fun too!
