Good morning Cindy. Well one day me and my wife were walking through the grocery store and I saw a friend of mine walking down the isle coming our way. I didn't say anything to him to see if he would say something. He did a couple of looks at me and then my wife and then back at me and he kept walking. When he didn't say anything I said " are you going to say hi?". He could not believe it was me. He said "I knew your wife but I wasn't going to say anything because I thought she was with a different guy". Ha Ha YES!!!! Richard

Hi Cindy--What a great idea. I just had to come inside out of the humidity for a while.
My most recent story happened just yesterday. I work in the summer at a classic car cruise every Saturday night. Last summer I had just had surgery and they began to notice that was losing weight. Last night was the second cruise of the season. One of the men who is a regular came up to me and asked where the chubby woman was that usually did the job I was doing. I said that is me. He was so shocked it was really me. All night then people kept coming up to me and asking how much weight I had lost and telling me that they did not know it was me from before.
It is the greatest feeling in the world.
I also have to say summer is much more fun when you are not constently sweating and able to enjoy the outdoors.
I love to read these stories too. Hope there are a lot of them.

Hi, Cindy! What a great idea!
I recently started a "home-show" type business and my second-cousin held a show to help me get started. Early during my presentation, her uncle (my first cousin) came in and although I waved to him and even told him where the snacks were, it wasn't until MUCH later that he told me he hadn't even recognized me! I hadn't seen him since before my surgery. I never get tired of such things!
