What I think a public forum is!

I just need to say a couple of things. A public forum is where anyone can post there Views, opinons, concerns, beliefs, support or simply what they are thinking. A public forum is where you can express your opinion in oppostion of anothers post if you so choose.  Go ahead and state if you think they are right, wrong or whatever! A Public forum has no place for personal attacks and name calling on anyone who post thier views, concerns, etc, etc, etc,. So please everyone, disagree if you wish but remember we are adults and friends here.  Please, No more name calling and personal attacks on any member ok.  Let's respect one another enough to agree to disagree, and allow the information, opinions, views, support, etc to flow!! Ed - your heart is in the right place... but with people coming and going, and people being passionate about certain things, this type of behaviour is bound to happen.  It may quiet down for a bit but inveitably it will happen again at some point.  Nice try though!

Thanks Ed;  Everyday you come on line....ok maybe even in the wee hours of the morn and you put in your special thoughts, jokes and support for all here.  I know if we met I would like you immediately in person as i do on line. All of us in here who have ever tried to make a feeling come across through a keyboard must know that it is the most  difficult thing to do.  Ed you seemed to have mastered it......YaY! I know one thing for certain and that is if you don't like what has been typed instead of commenting in a public forum to that person, email them about it and why it bothered you. All of us regardless who we are have at one time or another said things inappropriate.  We didn't mean to do it but we did.  Most we can hope for is that we know we said it and say to others "Sorry" and hope whoever we offended will take it. With that said from "nobody"    I bid you adieu and Lets Rock on New Years Eve!   Lucie has, is in my prayers from the get go.

I'm with you on this one Edmund. I think personal attacks and name calling are totally unacceptable, regardless of the opinions being voiced or the passion felt. Disagreement and opposing views are welcomed, and I appreciate a well stated argument/position, regardless of whether I agree or disagree. On the other hand, I lose a great deal of respect for people *****sort to insults and name calling. I have a hard time believing that anyone with a modicum of intelligence and/or sensitivity would resort to that behavior. SherryB

I agree with you Ed:::::::::name calling and insults are wrong...........but when expressing your opinions or beliefs, or facts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,some tact and decorum, goes along way.........that was the only problem I have with some of the posts.
