5 Days and counting

Hey guys.  Well the count down is on. I have 5 no 4 more days until I head out for surgery. I am trying to get everything done here at home. Man does the laundry pile up. Unfortunately my friend Rhonda who has gone through everything with me is not able to have her surgery on the 4th of January. Dr Graber wants her gallblader removed in Canada. She can have her RNY 2 weeks after her gallbladder is removed. Is anyone else having surgery on the 4th of January with Graber?  My chest cold has gone,but I now have ahead cold. THis hopefully should be cleared up by the time I leave on Wednesday. Also can anyone tell me what I am going to go through on the Thursday when I meet with the anatheisiologist and the dietitian. Will they go ahead with surgery if I have a head cold? Should I postpone? I really don't want to postpone.but I also don't want to waste my hubbies time by driving down there to be sent home. Grabers office is closed until Monday,so I can't call for info until then. Now I am rambling. Sorry. Just getting nervous

Hi Bobby Jo, I'm glad the chest cold is gone. I hope the head cold will soon disappear as well.  I could use the same answer you need for my surgey in February.  Good questions!!

Hey... I'm right behind you!  I'm going down for my PATs on the 9th and, fingers crossed, I'll be back down on the 23rd.  Whoo hoo!!!  Here's to a "new you" and a speedy recovery!! Carol

i am really hoping that someone else locally is going to have surgery next friday with me. I would love to car pool. My hubby is driving,but would like to be going down with someone else going through the same thing. I might drive hubby nuts.

I am trying to get there for 4th Jan.  I can't get a reply from doctors offices and I will try again on Monday.  I am going to stalk them if I have to!  And YES I am so driving everyone nutso!!

Keep on them Gerri. Its just the results from the stress test that you;re waiting for right???

yes and my blood tests should be normal again!

Hey Bobbie Jo!!  So GLAD to hear that your chest cold is gone!  YAHOOOOOOO!!  I'm sure you'll be able to kick the head cold too ... hopefully you don't have a fever or anything.  So as long as you have no temp, and no chest congestion, you should be good to go for the surgery!  *fingers crossed for you*

I keep thinking about you because you're one week ahead of me.  I wish I was having surgery this Friday so we could go togther or something.  I don't know anyone else either that will be having surgery on my day, Jan 11.  My husband, sister and two cats are coming with me!!  We'll have a full house in the car and the hotel!!  LOL Cheers to you Bobbie Jo!
