6 weeks post-op and GAINING weight???
Please go to the ER. Getting hooked up on IV fluids is not a big deal and take a few hours max and will make you feel so much better. If anything do it to prepare yourself for the scope a few days from now, they may not be able to operate with you being so dehydrated. I agree with all here that this is so much more serious than you are taking it.

Joanne you're sick not stupid. Get your ass off the computer and go to the ER NOW. You need fluids STAT and a full examination. If you choose not to go to the ER (for whatever reason) and continue to come online posting stuff that you know damn well is NOT safe for you then there is nothing anyone here can do. Personally I find it very frustrating to read your posts yet you take NO action to improve your health.

Hi Kim, I know we are here for support and we have been doing nothing but that. I do hope she seeks ER now to get the medical attention she needs. Joanne, your posting on this forum, this tells me you do want and even need advice from the people here. They are good people Joanne!! They are going through or have gone through what you are right now. Please listen to them. If some of them are starting to show a little anger it's because they are very concerned for you and want to try and convince you to seek the help you need.
Kim is right!!!! Listen to her and all the rest of the good people here. They are posting this information out of love and respect for you. Please take there advice and go! Go Now!!

I hope the non response means she finally went to the ER. We keep telling her she is in danger but she is not listening. The other option is Death.... What more does it take?
If you die you can't get the surgery reversed. Your body is malnurished and dehydrated... All the symptoms are there.
PLEASE PLEASE seek help.

I also agree kim and marnie: I really hope she gets well and gets the help she needs. Its hard to be supportive when shes doing nothing to change, even when she knows it will make her better.
I understand depression, and as she says shes on her own......so it must be difficult.
Im frightened she hasnt gone for help, but hey shes the only one who can change her condition.
I wish she would post though and let us know shes okay

Just thought I would try to share some insight into what may be causing Joanne's inability to go to the ER.
Joanne is crying out for help but may not be able to help herself. I went through a period similer to what she might be going through. Just last april when my testie was swelling up like a football. I knew I had to get out to the hospital. I knew, and my wife knew it, but I was suffering from a mental condition that stopped me from helping myself.
My brother and sister came over and two ambulance crews. 7 people and they still had a hard time to get me out to the hospital. AND I WANTED TO GO!! I just couldn't bring myself to go out the door. I was scared to death.
I am on medication now and I don't have a problem leaving the house anymore other than the severe mobility problems that is.
I'm not saying that Joanne has this for sure but she may have something similer. I just hope she was able to get to the hospital or was able to get the help she needed to get there.

Im so sorry you went through such a hard time yourself. You family must really love you.
I so hope she has someone with her, and shes not alone right now.
