LOL, just my opinion but it seems to me that if you separate the liquid and pureed all day then you will be eating all day LOL
I say call them and ask, unless someone else who had surgery at TWH has the answer................. Just seems way too complicated
I never had fruit til after the solid stage.
I was told to concentrate on protien so everything I ate was pretty much protien, but hey what do I know? LOL
Good luck

I remeber how anxious I was at this stage, but in the end I loved it simply because it wasn't a protein shake, and there was opportunity to introduce so many new flavours! Good luck.
I would call your dietician to clarify. I was told to wait 1/2 hour before and after eating to concume water or liquid of any kind. If you aren't, then your pureed food will move too quickly through your system, and you won't absorb as much of the protein and other nutrients (atleast that's my understanding of it).

I just started the puree stage too. I think it depends on the individual and how well you are tolerating what you are eating. Since it takes about an hour to eat I am sure you can have the protein shake with your few tablespoons of food. I have been able to eat and have some of the protein shakes together, but I don't let myself get too full. I am having trouble getting enough water in in a day, but I am also back to work so it's easy to forget.
Hope all goes well. Trust in your body and listen to it's cues.
