Kelly's Question of the Day - condiments
Yeah, it's back. I stopped because I thought people were sick of the title, but I got some pm's that liked the questions. Didn't realize that there are some shy newbies out there, so here we are.
My question today has to do with condiments. I'm on the pureed stage and nowhere in my literature from TWH does it mention condiments. I do know that I have to watch things like the sugar content in things like ketchup and BBQ sauce, but what about things like soy sauce and hot sauce? Or vinegar? I do remember the NUT saying that gravy is great for this stage. That seems so weird to be told to eat gravy....not cut it out of a diet lol.
Thanks!
Kelly

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
I understand that about ketchup and BBQ sauce (which I was really surprised to see had 8 gr of sugar, more than ketchup!) just wondering about soy and hit sauce, and if they wreck the pouch or not

It means surgery. And it cracks me up everytime I read it because it always looks like "sex" to me and I do a double-take. LOL

Glad the questions are back, I liked them.
PC sells a Ketchup Like sauce, in with the ketchup that has no sugar in it. so if you like ketchup thats the one to go with.
As for the bbq sauce, i made my own from the recipe site using the zero sugar ketchup,, it's great. I've used mustard with no problem and vinegar,
