should I be as upset as I am?
As some of the others have said on here....you lucky girl! My hope is for the sleeve but I've just started the process so all I can do is wait and hope..lol! I've done a tone of research myself on both and have to say that I would pick VSG. Do you're own research but I think you would be great with a VSG!
Best of Luck!

Well, thank you all very much! I feel so much better after hearing all of this. I guess there are pros and cons for both surgeries and as Barb said I will be happy as long as I wake up with one of the procedures completed.
I had heard such ravings about Dr. Jackson but I must admit he made me feel a bit sad. Towards the end of the appt he did say that once the two additional tests were completed, surgery would probably happen in January. He was really good about answering all my questions.
Unfortunately, I have plans (that can't be changed) to leave Toronto from November 18 to the new year so everything will come all at once in January.
Thank you all again.

I have to agree with Erica..although you may not have been prepared....if there is an alternative and it helps you to get where you need to be...well I am sure you will find lots of support on the board from sleeve patients
