Enjoy this time!!  It's your bodies reaction to the surgery...... but trust me - you will get back to normal and food will taste good again - so now is the time to use this natural relief from the desire to eat to learn new healthy habits you can use when you start to feel more like eating again - and to maximize your weight loss during the high-loss period.

Week 3 and can't believe I'm looking forward to lunch.  If anyone told me I would want the crunch of one melba toast and:  1/3 cup canned salmon with 1 pickle slice, 1tsp onion and 1tbs of no fat mayo....that was put into a food processor so it has the consistency of pudding, I would of told them they were crazy.   But after 5 weeks of fluids the crunch was wonderful.  I must admit (did the same yesterday) by the time supper comes I could care less.  It is a chore to eat something.  The full feeling stays for hours.

oh that first crunch was friggin AWESOME!!!

I dont ever get full though....or hungry either. I dont feel hungry so I have to remind myself to eat, and I have to be very careful to measure because I dont get full either. I am afraid to pu**** until I do feel full so I dont really know how its supposed to work I guess.

I have eaten something and then felt a sudden sick feeling.....which I have assumed is my body saying, Ok thats enough!....but I havent actually been sick, thankfully....but I usually just get tired/bored of eating long before that happens!

I found eating to be exhausting at first but it has since become easier.  I am about six weeks out.  However, I have to set a timer to remind me to eat when I am home because I can easily get distracted and not eat without the hunger signals.  At work it is easier because break time means eating time!

The worst part for me is that everything comes in such large portions I am eating the same thing for days.  I open a can of peas and I have to eat them for lunch and dinner for two or three days (depending on whether my daughter is home for dinner).  I bought a head of broccoli and cooked part and kept part raw for my daughters lunches and it took four days to fini****!!  I think I will give up on canned and fresh for a while and go to frozen.  That way I can cook a couple of tablespoons of the veggie if I am alone or more if my daughter is home.

What I find strange is I've been able to get all my fluids in no problem.  No full feeling. No nausea.  I get so worried that did they make the pouch too big.  Infact I wasn't thinking and drank 100cc in a 5 minute period with no ill effects.  Has anyone had this?

oooh I know my stomach is smaller...or at least they did SOMETHING in there because if I take a biggulp of fluid, or swallow too fast I get a major pain right in the center of my chest. It's certainly enough to remind me to SLOW down!!

But yes, sometimes I wonder if they really did anything other than stab me repeatedly.... ;)
