Day 4 on Opti-Fast

Well here I am at 4 and I must admit it is easier than I thought it would be. Last night I had a poor me night and was mad at my hubby for cooking supper for him and our boys, I was mad at our boys for not liking what hubby made and ordering pizza instead, I was mad at hubby for liking what he cooked and eating it, I was mad at all of them for leaving the leftovers on the counter but mainly I was mad at myself for getting to this point weight wise where I have to do this.

But today it is better and I know I am going to have moments like this again in the next month but I am keeping my eye on the prize and chugging on.

I tried the OF with decaf coffee and luved the flavour of it.!  I have jello, popsicles, chicken broth, crystal light flavoured water and plain water in between my 4 shakes and that really seems to help.

4 down and 23 to go! Good luck to all who are just beginning or in the process of taking OF!.

re: gel nails - you'll have to ask at PATS - but I know we are not allowed to wear nail polish because they put an oxygen monitor on your finger and check your nail pads for blue (oxygen deficiency) either during or after the surgery.

I was told at my PATS that fake nails are okay as long as they are clear i.e. french.  I had already had mine removed so I was mad because I was told they weren't allowed.  So now I have short ugly nails until after surgery and I will get mine put back on as soon as I feel up to driving myself there and sitting for 1 hour for the appointment.  This is the one thing I do for myself.
