Roof of mouth sore and itchy - OF maybe?

Hi everyone, I am starting day 8 of Opti-Fast. Yesterday the roof of my mouth started getting really sore and itchy. As well, not sure how to quite explain it but when I rub my tongue on it, it almost feels like there is extra skin there or something.

Just wondering if anyone else may have experienced this while on Opti-fast?

i am not experienced that....... yet as this is only day 3 of optifast but i have to tell you it is going well.. enjoying the choc flavour with crushed ice and decaf coffe in it.
hope you can figure this out hmmm interesting...

Is your tongue kinda whitish?  I know a few people that developped thrush while on Optifast.

My tongue is whitish. I looked up Thrush and it does sound like what I have.  It says you need antibotics to cure it. I hope I can take whatever is prescribed. I will call the hospital in the morning.  Thanks Tracy.

The roodf of my mouth feels that way sometimes if I have allergies or a sinus problem, or if I have had too many cold things. Are you drinking your OF with crushed ice all the time?

I have only had it once with crushed ice. The rest of the times tho I use cold water from my cooler.

Thanks Monica. I have booked the day off work tomorrow. I have left a detailed message at the WMC to ask them to please call me so I will know if there are antibiotics I can't take. I told them I want to know before I go to the clinic. Also reminded them I have surgery on the 23rd so I need to be in tip-top shape.

Hoping with all those details they will return my call first thing in the morning.
