New found independence

Congrats. Isn't it a great feeling to realise that you don't hurt anymore. The extra energy we have is fabulous. (not to mention feeling better in our clothes!)

Thanks Leslie...it is amazing what it does for a body...and you are right my clothes are starting to feel loose now and it feels GOOD!

Thanks very much Diane...my summer goal is to jump off the end of the dock into the river in unison with my two beautiful nieces. Aunty April has swam with them but I want to pu**** further this year!

When I read your subject line, the first thing that popped into my mind was that I can put on my own socks by myself.

Back 7-8 years ago, the kids had to be on 'sock duty' to help mom get dressed everymorning.  This was before my doctor put me on celebrex for arthritis.  Once I had to give up my celebrex, I was worried that I'd need sock-helpers again, but, with the exception of the few days after surgery, I've been able to put on my own socks everyday, and I now take a moment to put peppermint foot lotion on my feet when I do that. So now my feet feel great!

There are so many ways we will be reclaiming our independence!

Thanks very much Nelly...and a huge congrats on the sock thing..I know how that one feels. Hubby WAS the one on duty for me.

 Great job April and congrats..it's amazing how the simpliest things we were not able to do by ourselves in the past are the greatest rewards when we can accomplish them by ourselves..i completely understand how you feel...i was telling the nutritionist yesterday that one of my goals was to be able to walk  the mall again and ride a bike with my daughter...i know soon that day will come. Keep up the good job!! You inspire me!
