Can you have a scope done after RNY?

I had the same issue years ago with food not going down and feeling like it was stuck in my throat.  This is why I was originally referred to Dr. Anvari in Hamilton.  It feel getting worse until it pretty much happened everytime I ate and later when liquids had trouble going down.  I found out I had a huge hiatus hernia and that turned to my entire stomach being pushed up into my chest.  When I had my RNY they also fixed this issue and Wow... what a difference.

Oh my gosh, that must have been so scary for you! Thank goodness they were able to identify the problem and fix it for you! Did you have an Upper GI when it happened and did it not show the hernia? I only had the feeling of the food being "stuck" for a few days and then it went away & hasn't returned since.  Thanks so much for sharing that with me. I'm sure glad that you're okay now!!!!
