Hi I'm just wondering if anyone out there has anything to say about the barix clinic in michigan, I am hoping to have RNY with dr kam. Thanks janet

Barix is awesome and so is Dr. Kam. Everyone there is so friendly. You'll love it there. I had Open RNY with Dr. Kam January 16/07 and have lost 71lbs as of today and I feel great. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything bad about them. Good Luck and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Tricia

Hi Janet, You must be new to this board, well welcome this is an amazing group of people who give the greatest support. I too am pretty new. I had my consult with Dr. Kam on April 30/07 and was total impressed. I have done some deeper research and spoke with women who have had surgery at barix and loved it. I feel like I have chosen a good place. If you keep checking the board you will be able to talk with actually pat. who had dr. Kam. Rest assured I feel great about the centre and now I am waiting for my approval from Ohip. Have you been approved? Does he want you to come in losing? Keep me posted Teresa

HI TERESA I HAVE MY PRE OP ON MAY THE 23rd AND MY SURGERY ON MAY THE 30th. DR KAM SAID IF I COULD LOSE 10- 12 POUNDS IT WOULD BE GREAT BUT I DON'T SEE THAT HAPPENING AS WHEN I AM STRESSED I CAN'T LOSE AN OUNCE. HUGS JANET

Hi Janet: The Barix clinic in Michigan is totally awesome!! I have Dr. Schram ....he's great and so are all the wonderful ladies ! Everyone is very helpful and informative. You won't be disappointed. Melanie

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I am already in love with Barix. Dr. Poplawski is awesome and while I haven't met Dr. Kam yet, I did overhear him talking to someone's family in the waiting room and he was so compassionate and caring, especially towards the mother who plied him with questions. He was so patient and answered them all. I was impressed with that as well.

I just had my surgery last week there. and I have to say I have never met a more caring staff Wendy in the area you in before surgery was great for helping me calm my nerves and Cythia the nurse in my room so Fabulous. but everyone was super. I am so glad I chose to go there. I had Dr. Poplowski but I hear they are all good. Good Luck. Alison
