New Pics on Profile!
 Okay ladies and gents,
I've been asked to add some new pics to my profile - some pics of me at 148 lbs! For those who are new -----I am 5 foot 3 so I have a few more lbs to go to be "normal". I had my roux en y on July 5th, 2006. I am 10 months out. Less than 10 lbs to goal.
I haven't yet added them to my webpage but they are on my profile for those who wanted to see them. I hate the way my face looks - I always look so dorky in pictures - but I'm pretty happy with the way my body looks! (Wait - was that ME who said THAT?!). LOL!

http://home.cogeco.ca/~diminishingdawn Dawn,
You look fantastic! You are an inspiration for me! I am a teacher too! I work for the District School Board of Niagara. I have not told a lot of people about the surgery yet. I didn't want all the negativity. I will share when I return in September.
How did your students react to you? I teach junior and I know they will notice. My girls are notice everything!
Have a great end to your school year. I am sure you must be looking forward to summer!

My students are only SK so they are not always "aware" of things like the older kids...but I've had mothers of students that I used to teach (that are in Gr. 5 for instance) that come up to me because their child told them how great I look! LOL! I've had a former special needs student of mine tell me how I'm "slimming down" great!
I have a story though about one of my SKs. As you know kids will notice everything and comment on them. Well she noticed the flabby batwings and asked what happened to my arms. I explained that I used to be big...blah blah.
She then stuck out her hands (indicating my former massive girth) and said that "Yah, I remember you used to be REAL BIG!". LOL! And then she said "But now you are kind of skinny". LOL!!!
Most kids really don't say much about the weight or how I've changed but with elementary, I get all the parents and grandmothers coming up to me making comments.

288/148/140 The bat wings and legs are not pretty. Boobs have pretty much deflated.
I'm still debating plastics. I really don't have the big $$ right now to spend on it and the thought of that surgery and pain quite frankly scare the heck out of me. I really can live with the skin although the arms are occasionally embarrassing.
I'll post batwing photos this weekend on my site. Not so pretty!
