Interesting WOW Moment...
So, yesterday I was over at a friend's house... we were powerwashing his deck in preparation for the Memorial Day holiday weekend when it started to absolutely pour. We hustled as fast as we could to finish washing the deck and get all of the equipment put away but it was no use... we were soaked. In the past, this would either have meant an immediate trip home so that I could put on dry clothes of my own or I would have had to have sat around in wet clothes for the rest of the day. But yesterday I had a "WOW" moment. My buddy looked at me and said "I think I might have something that will fit you."
He went up into his room and came back downstairs with a pair of gray mesh basketball shorts and a black Eagles "One Team, One City, One Dream" t-shirt. Both were size XL. Please understand that I haven't worn a pair of XL shorts in YEARS and I am just starting to get back into XL shirts (depending on the cut) so I was a little skeptical. To my absolute shock and amazement, BOTH the t-shirt and the shorts FIT LIKE A GLOVE! I immediately told him that he wasn't getting either of them back and being the friend that he is, he told me that I had literally and figuratively worked my a$$ off over the past 8 months and if I wanted to keep the clothes, I was more than welcome.
It's been a while since I've had a real "WOW" moment. Things have been a bit tough over the past month and a half. The skydiving trip was awesome but, since then, I've been in a bit of a rut. But, with the help of my family, my post-op friends at Barix, my real, true "lifetime" friends and "WOW" moments like this, I sincerely hope that things are getting back to normal and my life on the "Loser's Bench" can get back on track.
Thanks everyone...
Mike

That's great Mike. I like to hear "WOW" moments. It is amazing to think we are one size because we keep the FAT GOGGLE on all the time, but get shocked in these situations when we are smaller than we think. CONGRATS... on the new discover of fitting into XL'S again. Keep of the good work... Another Barix buddy...
