I've gained 7.5 lbs in a little under 2 weeks. How can that be normal....

Anyone?

It makes me not want to eat ever again.

Hi,

Give it another couple weeks and see if you level out.  We can gain pounds for a variety of reasons. If you feel you are doing everything right, than it may not be anything serious.  Keep us posted.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Jen, don't give up. Some of it may be water weight. I often gain and lose 5 lbs in a week. So I don't let myself stick to a specific number exactly. I have a range I try to stay within. Just try a few things like upping your water and increasing your protein.

Alot of us have experienced a gain in weight here and there. I know I got to my lowest and thought I was going to stay there. But I put on about 10-15 more pounds and have stayed at that point (well not while preggo but you get my point) And now looking abck at pics, I am glad I did. I looked worse when I was at that lowest point and got to a healthy looking and feeling weight.

Hang in there. We all go through bouts of struggle with pounds here and there. Try adding your food accountability on here. Liz posts it M-F so we can be concious of what we are eating.

Good luck and come here for the support you need. You can get through this.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I just wrote down everything I packed for today- which is a typical day for me. I will post later and try to analyze it.

i will also increase the water and have a protein shake today.

i'm also decreasing my anti-depressant dosage starting today. i have an appointment with the doc in april. maybe i need to switch.

Could be water weight...

What are you eating?
How much are you exercising?
How many calories?
How much fluids?
Caffeine or sugar?
Carbs?
Stresses???
How often are you weighing?
Nt eating won't help... You need to eat so your body can function and if you aren't putting in enough your metabolism shuts down and your body holds onto the weight - it goes into starvation mode.

Hope this helps!

Liz

Don't you dare give up, girl! You have come so far and done such an amazing job with your health and weight loss - this is a bump in the road - one you CAN and WILL get over. You're a beautiful person inside and out and you know you have the tool to keep the weight off. The weather is finally getting nicer (I hope) so get out and walk those bad feelings away.

We're all here for you -- you're going to be fine -- don't give up or in!!

Kathy

Just my .02 .....I went in and re-read your profile and intro and YEP, still inspiring.   I remember when you were just a wee babe coming to the Barix meetings and you were full of fire.   You transferred some of that to your exercising and the marathon running; I remember Norm and Andy spurring you on.  I was there last year July 4th walking to your running in Downingtown.  Times has passed, but you've still got all that fire.  One thing we need to do is keep the neurons pumped with challenges and goals.  I'd bet between the meds and the additional exercising your body is saying WTF? and holding onto a little water.   It's spring, time for renewal.   Check out SheRox.  http://www.danskinsheroxtri.com/site3.aspx   Maybe you and/or a couple others could get together and make a team and enter that race or part of it.   I understand it's an awesome good time.  Being frustrated and scared is wasted energy, plow through it and find something on the horizon to shoot for      You 'kin do it!!

Well said. Thank you!

I just got back from spinning and had a great day with eating. I've also descreased my meds starting today...I have plans to run (again) tomorrow and am running an exercise group for 2nd and 3rd graders at school on Thursday....but overall, I need to keep taking it one day at a time.

thank you for saying that I'm still inspiring...that means a lot when I'm feeling like such a failure.
